Upon my arrival I specifically asked the gentleman at the front desk that housekeeping not enter my room since they made it crystal clear they wouldn’t be responsible for any valuable items missing that was however never communicated to housekeeping because they came to the room anyway which I stood at the door and handed them the towels to change and also still gave them a tip (JUST BECAUSE)! Just for the day before my departure my Pandora necklace which I had placed on the sink top before going to the pool went missing! Apparently housekeeping went to clean the room during my absence and when I got back I noticed the room was clean however I totally forgot that I had taken off the necklace and left it on the sink top until that same evening when I was heading out to dinner and was looking for my necklace to wear. My frustration was beyond measure because with all that Haiti is going through we (non locals) still give it a chance. This was totally unacceptable and the day of departure I made this known to another front office agent who toke my information and promised to get back to me who never did.

Now onto the next, the breakfast? UNBELIEVABLY AMAZING! I loved everything about the breakfast buffet I give that a 10/10, although I wish it would make up for my missing necklace but it cannot! The bar employees were wonderful both daytime shift and nighttime shift, they were supper amazing!

The rooms are worn out and need some repair, there was no hot water in the bathrooms, the ac was manually turned off from 9am - 4pm which I really didn’t care about because with the height of the rooms you get a lot of cool breeze coming in. The water in the shower toke forever to drain which means it sat there for a long while during showers and after.
The WiFi was in and out during the entire stay.
The tv? Don’t waste your time it’s just there to be there its no use.
The location is great downtown is literally 10 minute drive from the hotel, I would say walking distance however it’s not the best idea to walk to those locations.
Leave it up to me I wouldn’t have complained about anything because I’m not a nagging person however my necklace being stolen by staff members was definitely my last straw.

Would I return? Personally NO!

UPDATE; Very nice hotel to stay! With large space. I brought a few friends and family to the pool while staying there, and it was fun. I admire the view of Cap-Haitian from the heights.
The staff are friendly.
As for service they need a little more work on that area. Took a min to my food & drink. And the food is not that good
Besides that everything is amazing.

This hotel has the best customer service. It's in a beautiful location. Also, the food was awesome. I wish I could be there forever!

Spent 4 days and 3 nights here, gave it 5 stars, the food was great, Mac & cheese perfect… The overall ambience of the hotel felt warm; although my stay had been during one of Haiti’s crisis where gas had been short, so electricity intermittent, it still worked in my favor, I’d stay here again. Thanks Satama!

The hotel is one of the only modern hotels in the city so its the best for the city. Therefore, they get many guest and don't find it necessary to give good service. We got our room with no towels or floor mat. I asked the front desk and they took so long to bring it and I had to ask twice. After I long day of travel I can't even take a proper shower. And the kitchen staff does not communicate properly. I had to double check my bill because they added someone else's food to my bill. If you stay here all for your food bill right away and order quickly because the food takes long. The service is slow at the restaurant.

Horrible! The only thing this place has going is the view. The view is truly breathtaking. Highly disappointed with management for the blatant disregard for the safety and security of their guests. I understand there is a lot going on in Hayti and this is why I am so compelled to write this review. Our lives were put in danger for no reason and management felt like we were not warranted an apology (because of our complexion). Here is a full account of what happened: Confirmed with Satama that the shuttle will pick us up at the airport ($11 per person=$44 cool). When we arrived there was a gentleman there holding a sign with our name. We followed him to the parking lot. He then told us he does not know where the driver is. We waited outside in the middle of the parking lot for 15 min as I franticly try to call Satama to no avail. What really hurts me is finding out a simple communication would have done it. We learned the driver was told by management to run to the bank. That's fine. The driver should have left us inside the airport until he returns from the bank. Standing in the middle of the airport parking lot with a bunch of suitcases was a security risk to our lives. I'm the oldest child traveling with my sister, brother, and my daughter to Hayti for the first time. To say I was scared is an understatement. We were able to find a reputable taxi company. ($30 per person =$120) When we arrived at Satama and begin to explain to the concierge our ordeal it was just a "you should have waited". He was going to come back for you". The manager/owner was right there when we were voicing our complaint and did not even acknowledge us.

Sabrina, a little kindness goes a long way.

All the housekeeping/bartender staff were friendly and nice. The view and the infinity pool are the two things Satama has going in my opinion. The food is mediocre, the rooms need updating. There's no hot water. There are no washcloths and hand towels.

Paid $1646 only breakfast included

1 star is too high. My wife and I stayed at Satama hotel from 8/27 to 8/30. We pre-booked online but when we got there, they said there was no rooms available. The employees were rude and obnoxious (manager included). After almost 2 hours of back and forth frustration without any apologies, they gave us a room on the first floor that had roaches, the furnitures were stained. The fire alarm was hanging from the ceiling. The safe was not usable, the batteries were oxidated. They stuck us in the worst possible room, faucet loose, one towel in the room, one half used toilet paper. When we complained about the condition of the room, we were told that there was no available rooms to switch us to. Again, no apologies, very nonchalant. Although the view is incredible, it is not woth the aggrevation and bad customer service. They completely screwed up my birthday trip. We travel to many countries but this was by far the worst experience

If I could give this hotel more stars, I would. The staff were so amazing and helpful, my room was clean, I loved it. I felt 100% safe. I would definitely be back! I will tell others about this spot

Really nice place to stay and enjoy vacations and scenery. The only negative thing I would say is that I wish the hotel spent more time maintaining the furniture in the rooms amd improving housekeeping a bit.

It’s a very beautiful modernized hotel and the only best option for now in Cap Haitian. I say this because the concierge and the staff needs customer service skills I would’ve gave them a five stars if it wasn’t for the lack of customer service skills. My husband and I spend 4 days there no one gave any information about where anything is such as what time is breakfast or where in the building it serves, no information about what floor such and such is. Management needs to educate their staff, if you are in the hospitality business they need to learn about how to receive guests, the building is a beautiful modern architecture but some of the staff has a disdain peculiar attitude as a guest you want to feel welcome at your establishment. And also it was surprising to see colorism is still a thing in that country. I’ve learned the Marriott is building a hotel in Cap-Haitian the next visit I will take my chance with Marriott instead of Satama.

I'm being nice giving it two stars. As foreigners we expect enlightenment as we are not from this beautiful country of Haiti. Customer service is imperative to provide and maintain a business. Which your staff has no clue exactly what that means. Our card keys were practically thrown at us with an attitude four days and never did staff ask were we okay did we need anything. Stephen seemed to hate us.the young lady and young man behaved as if we were a bother that didn't need attention. I was in the process of scouting a location for our future plans of businesses of my own and was horrified at their behavior and perception of us. I felt hurt to my core. I too am a business man who learned years ago how important is customer service it can Destroy a company in minutes.we'd stay out all day just to avoid your staff to no avail They'd be waiting to give us hell. Then we discovered that the Marriott is building next door how precious that sounds to my ear. Its what I'm used to PROFESSIONALISM. Work on your customer service because we have many many business clientele and we sure will let them know about your failures. GET IT TOGETHER.

Love my country the hotel nice, love the view but the servers at the main restaurant flow 2 smh they moving like they don't want to be there. The food taste good but your food take forever to come out I feel like they went out to catch the fish to prepare it.

Satama Hotel features a restaurant, outdoor swimming pool, a bar and garden. They have good services with a good staff. It is located in Cap-Haitien from the mountain around Carénage. Satama is the best place to stay in Cap-Haitien

It's a beautiful place with beautiful views of the city of Cap-Haitien. The only problem is the Food and drink price! Too expensive! But after a visit to a few restaurants in the city, I realized that it's expensive everywhere.

The professionalism is fantastic, the food and the cleanness are excellent, and you feel secure inside. I will be ungrateful if I do not leave a comment for this hotel. I had a wonderful time.

Usually great but right now there's something going on with the AC in most of the rooms. I dony think I'll go back anytime soon

Satama is excellent and Sabrina the manager was wonderful to make sure that all of my requests were met. We travelled in the midst of all the chaos and was on lockdown during the country pandemic, Satama was the perfect place to be locked in. They have wonderful food and the pool is just perfect. A slice of heaven away from the reality of Haiti. We had wonderful views to know when we were able to go out or not. My family was safe and sound during the entire headache of the country. So grateful for the love and security of Satama. Thank you for all of your hospitality.

Satama Hotel is a beautiful place. The views are exceptional.the pool view, sea view, garden view, mountain view are incredible. The foods are very healthy and taste really good. The pool is about 4.5 feet deep. When you are up there you can see the whole town. I recommand this place to everyone. Please come and see for yourself and ENJOY.
